Objectives Provide leadership and support to the assigned Shift to ensure effective, efficient and consistent operation of the process according to all standard operating procedures and business targets and goals. Supervise the safe execution of work by Team Members for the area process and equipment for the assigned shift, meeting all Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality and Customer Specifications. . Main Accountabilities Policies, Systems, Process & Procedures Fulfill the Health & Safety responsibilities as identified in the Responsibilities and Accountabilities section of the Health & Safety Program. Fulfill the Environmental responsibilities as identified in the Responsibilities & Accountabilities section of the Environmental and Energy Program. Fulfill the Quality responsibilities as identified in the Quality Management System. Fulfill the responsibilities as identified in the Performance Management Process. Fulfill the responsibilities as identified in the Attendance Management Process. Provide training and development to co-workers and help maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices and Job Safe Practices to ensure the transfer of knowledge to others. Supervise and provide work direction to a team of people for the assigned shift ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures. Contribute to the preparation of the Budget and adhere to its goals and targets. Duties & Responsibilities: Accountable for work executed by assigned resources for the assigned shift. Monitor any deviation in normal operations activities and trouble shoot operational problems in order to generate quick and prompt solutions to resolve operating problems, implementing corrective action and meeting shift targets for Health & Safety, Environment, Production, Quality and Cost within perimeter of influence. Identify training requirements for team members and organized on-the-job training to ensure a competent and capable workforce Supervise the operation of machines / equipment, which involves setting up and making adjustments to regulate and ensure the required quality / customer specifications are met. Monitor and evaluate shift performance against the standard set by management. Facilitate, monitor, control and ensure all established procedures are adhered to ensuring a safe shutdown and start up in assigned area as required. Initiate and follow-up all routine and reactive maintenance jobs issuing work permits for work to be carried out by the Maintenance Department in order to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the area. Ensure that all Team Members are punctual at the workplace and carry out their tasks in an effective, efficient and consistent manner according to all Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor and track all overtime on the assigned shift. Identify and engage team members to contribute to the identification of opportunities of continuous improvement. Attend daily / weekly and monthly meetings as required. Ensure all shift reports, files, records, check sheets, forms etc are accurate and up to date as required. Ensure the workplace is maintained clean and tidy at all times complying with company standards Knowledge Mechanical: Knowledge of machines & tools, including their designs, uses, repairs and maintenance. Education & Training: Knowledge of principles and methods for teaching and instruction of groups and individuals and measurements of training effects. Quality Management systems, Materials Management, Inventory & Warehouse Management and Tool Management. Working knowledge of operations and process is required. NDT, UT & MPI Test, Hydro Tester & Drift Test CNC Programming Finishing Operations: Beveling, Cutting, Straightening, Grinding, WMS, Coating, Bundling, Quality Management Systems (QMS). Skills Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good organizational skills. Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Good Leadership skills. Good computer, standard corporate software application skills are required. . Education & Experience Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Metallurgical 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a similar industry with at least 4 years in a supervisory role. .
