Responsibility v Ensure HSE policies are strictly adopted by team members. Prepare JSA and work permit prior to start the jobs v To take full responsibility of the shift in terms of management of staff, management of consistent production and quality targets and to ensure the smooth running of the production processes v To take full responsibility of the quality and product that is produced within the shift in line with the companies quality systems, processes and procedures v Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting maintenance crew v Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance, general issues v Execute the PM plans as scheduled and report for deviations observed v To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff and superiors timely v Problem solving and troubling shooting skills are used to ensure that all team members can v identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand v To work closely with other Shift production Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effective communications tools v To ensure that the training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift v To have an active role in the companies continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company v Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace v Responsible for ensuring company resources are used in an effective manner to ensure best operating costs v Be able to make appropriate decisions while following the companies organizational structure v Supervise the safe execution of work to area equipment for the assigned Shift v To lead the technicians team to carry out housekeeping of work area & machine Facilities after carrying out maintenance Perimeter of Influence (Sector, Unit, Turn-Over, Tons etc) Explain Briefly ArcelorMittal Jubail - Finishing Bay equipments –OCTG, LPL & UPL areas, QC lab Main Accountabilities Policies, Systems, Process & Procedures Fulfill the Health & Safety responsibilities as identified in the Responsibilities and Accountabilities section of the Health & Safety Program. Personality: This is a role for somebody dynamic, energetic, self-driven, results-oriented, Provide work direction for the assigned Shift to the resident team and contractors (as required).. Fulfill the Quality responsibilities as identified in the Quality Management System. Fulfill the responsibilities as identified in the Performance Management Process. Fulfill the responsibilities as identified in the Attendance Management Process. Provide training and development to co-workers and help maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Best Practices and Job Safe Practices to ensure the transfer of knowledge to others. Provide work direction to a team of trades people for the assigned Shift. Accountable for work executed by assigned resources for the assigned Shift. Attend daily / weekly and shutdown scheduling meetings as required. Receive work schedules and work packages for the assigned Shift. Review work package details and seek clarification as required for the assigned Shift. Attend shutdown rehearsal meetings as required. Participate in Safe Work Permit meetings as required. Assign work based on trade competency for the assigned Shift. Lead tool box talks during work assignment addressing all job hazards on the assigned Shift. Assure all job safe requirements are in place prior to beginning (permits, isolations and lockouts etc) for the assigned Shift. Verify equipment positioning and job site preparation prior to execution of work on the assigned shift. Assess availability of required resources at time of execution, communicates deficiencies to Team Leader. Provide trade specific technical direction, coaching and mentoring during execution. Interact with trade specialists, equipment specialists, planners, operations and technical subject matter experts to resolve problems arising during execution. a) Participate in decisions to defer work or extend work duration. b) Participate in decisions to accept / add on work during execution. Assure adherence to all work packages detail during execution. Verify all assigned work efforts are complete and / or properly statused. Assure all work is captured on work orders (initiate creation of emergency and unplanned work orders for non-scheduled work). Provide input into identification (Equipment Maintenance Program Development). Verify removal of isolation and locks, condition of work site and hand off of work site on completion of execution of the assigned Shift. Knowledge Working knowledge of pipe mill finishing process equipments like CNCs,, testing m/cs and handling systems. Basic understanding of equipment maintenance hydraulics, pneumatic and lubrication systems Basic Working knowledge of gearboxes, valves, couplings, alignment, measurements etc., General knowledge of all trades is required. Ability to Read and understand Mechanical drawings and schematics of Hydraulics and Pneumatics for efficient troubleshooting. Skills Good communication and interpersonal skills. he ability to write business e-mails/letters using Plain English, to create a positive and professional image of the company. The ability to communicate verbally and in a succinct and articulate manner, in order to present facts, arguments and conclusions in a way that is easy to understand and clear to the receiver. Top 3 ArcelorMittal Competencies Teamwork Results Orientation Change Management Education & Experience Degree in Mechanical; Engineering with 5 years’ experience or Diploma mechanical engineering with 10 years’ experience in the appropriate discipline or equivalent work experience: preferably in steel rolling mills and/or seamless pipe mills . International Role Good English speaking, reading and writing. Acceptance of multicultural and multilingual atmosphere. Working Conditions Combination of Plant Office, Shop and Plant environment. Personal Protective Equipment is required. Physical Effort (moderate) Activities involve alternating positions of sitting, standing, walking and light lifting, bending, twisting. Physical Environment (moderate) Exposure to noise, heights, confined spaces, poor lighting conditions, material, products and by-products associated with the manufacturing of steel pipe. Temperature and weather extremes that require use of specialized protective devices or equipment. Required to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolding to access elevations, able to crouch for periods of time, push, pull, lift and turn while carrying tools, material and equipment in various parts of the facilities. Sensory attention (minimal) Need to concentrate on a variety of sensory inputs for intermediate durations at times. i.e. interpretive reading, listening, data analysis etc. Mental Stress (moderate) Occasional exposure to one or more mental pressures daily not noticeably disruptive to the work. i.e. deadlines, need for accuracy, unpleasant resource contact.
