Responsibility To follow up and report in a transparent way, available for all management levels and as well for the end users / area responsible an everyday effective and predictable performance, accurately evaluated through the definition of clear and consistent rules Interact with connected departments in order to obtain follow up information and feedback as a basis for process improvement Update the monthly reports according to the daily plant performance Control the effectiveness of the industrial system Define process improvement goals that are consistent with customer demands and company strategy Measure key aspects of the current process and collect relevant data, establish and measure relevant KPI’s Analyze the technological and statistical variables to verify cause-and-effect relationships. Determine what the relationships are, and attempt to ensure that all factors have been considered Improve or optimize the process based upon data analysis Main Accountabilities Policies, Systems, Process & Procedures Ensure all Planning and Scheduling procedures are followed to achieve the department objectives Selection of the Control Variables – Indicators that impact in the area performance – A small set of simple but important variables (Top Ten) shall to be controlled at all management levels. Control Variables Measurement – Clearly defined, normalized and using automatics methods – With capture of instantaneous values and main events Vision through Information Systems – Showing the variables in context of industrial system results – Standard statistical analysis (mean, dispersion, aptitude analysis) emphasize extreme behaviors – Report in a transparent way, available for all management levels Standard Definition Practices, with clear and well known procedures At basic parameters level which are integrated through clear algorithms: – For technological variables: with Technical Areas support, taking into consideration values of design of the equipment’s, historical behavior and comparison with best values of similar facilities. – For Statistical variables: distribution analysis In both cases using Validity test: comparison with the best actual values obtained for groups of homogeneous behavior Assuring permanent equity and validity through the activation of updating mechanisms, to identify improvements effects of: – Improvement plans and investments – Operative practices changes – Performances changes Performance Control Practices – Put in evidence deviation against standard values Business Requirement: The activation of updating mechanisms, to identify improvements effects of: – Improvement plans and investments – Operative practices changes – Performances changes Standard statistical analysis (mean, dispersion, aptitude analysis) emphasize extreme behaviors Knowledge Computer literate, Working knowledge of MS Office features – MS Word, Excel, and Power point is a must. Able to communicate in English language. SAP L3 automation system (knowledge of MES from Siemens is an advantage) . Analyst Specific Good English speaking, reading and writing. Acceptance of multicultural and multilingual atmosphere Skills The knowledge and experience required in the position is that gained through an apprenticeship or other form of specialized training in industrial management theory and applied and metal processing environment. General knowledge about the process efficiency and capabilities in order to be able to understand and follow the defined Key Performance Indicators A clear indication of the relative position of each process regarding its targets, its historic trends being necessary to have clear objectives, defined through technical algorithms of shared knowledge and rules remaining stable through the time Interpretation of the indicators representing faithfully the effectiveness of the actions and proportionality between indicators variation and results variations Interpretation of received feedback in order to obtain target values permanently demanding Identification of the responsibility scope, allowing fast understanding of who is in charge of the problem and the absence of grey zones of responsibility A technical and clear perception of the real situation, where all the levels perceive the same reality and by assuring a complete and homogeneous measurement of every important indicator, which must be measured in all facilities and in the same way The Management, Administrative and Communication skills are required Ability to follow guidelines and work with operation, maintenance and logistic personnel and supervisors/superintendents Good knowledge of Industrial, Mechanical and Safety, ISO, QMS practices Top 3 ArcelorMittal Competencies Teamwork Results Orientation Decision Making Education & Experience B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical or Production Eng. 3 Years in Tube manufacturing mill or other Steel Industries Industrial or related projects experience.
